ITINERARY:
Day 01: Arrival in Mumbai
Arrive at the Mumbai airport, where our representative will be waiting to escort you to the hotel. Your tiredness will fly in seconds by the traditional welcome that you will be getting at the hotel's reception. Check in and relax amidst the world-class hotel facilities. Go for a sightseeing tour in the afternoon. Place s like Hanging Gardens , built in 1881, Gateway to India , built by the British, Victoria Terminus , a busy train station, Prince of Wales Museum and Island of Elephanta are worth visiting.
Day 02: Mumbai- Aurangabad
Post breakfast board the flight to Aurangabad, founded in the 16 th century. On arrival, check in at the hotel and rest a while. Later our guide will show you the remnants of the royal Mughal splendor in Aurangabad. Visit the Bibi- ka - Muqbara , built in 1679 by the son of Emperor Aurangzeband. Another great site worth watching is Panchakki , the water mill that was once a grain mill. Don't miss our visiting the ancient caves that were built in the 6 th century in Aurangabad. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Aurangabad.
Day 03: Aurangabad
The 3 rd day of the Cultural Experience Tour is reserved for visiting the famous Ajanta and Ellora caves .
Built from 600 A.D onwards, the Ellora caves were sculpted in the Buddhist, Hindu and Jain traditions. Depicting Gods and Goddesses, these caves won't fail to enchant you with their sensuous appeal. Each sculpture has a particular motif and story to tell in the Ellora Caves.
Dating from 200 B.C are the Ajanta caves, which are adorned with a profusion of murals depicting scenes from battlefields to sailing ships, from beautiful women to landscapes. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Aurangabad.
Day 04: Aurangabad - Mumbai - Udaipur
Post breakfast at the hotel, board the flight back to Mumbai. On arrival in Mumbai board the direct flight to Udaipur. Arrive at Udaipur, where our representative will be waiting to escort you to the hotel. Your tiredness will fly in seconds by the traditional welcome that you will be getting at the hotel's reception. Check in and relax amidst the world-class hotel facilities.
Day 05: Udaipur - Ranakpur - Jodhpur
Begin the 5 th day of the Cultural Experience Tour with a sightseeing tour of the romantic city of Udaipur. Visit the City Palace and get enchanted with its beautiful mosaics and mirror works. Delight your senses with a visit at the Sahalion ki Bari , the garden made by the kings for the Maids of the Court. Have lunch and then head for a 6-hour drive to Jodhpur with a stoppage at Ranakpur. Jagat Temple and Jain Temples of Rankpur are also worth paying visits to in Ranakpur. On arrival in Jodhpur, check in at the hotel and have an overnight stay.
Day 06: Jodhpur - Jaipur
Having a sumptuous breakfast, move on to visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort with all its beauty and splendor. Visit the white marble Royal Cenotaphs at the Jaswant Thada . Have an interaction with the local people at the village of Luni and watch the local craftsmen and weavers. Return to the hotel in the evening and board the flight to Jaipur. On arrival in Jaipur, check in at the hotel and have an overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 07: Jaipur
Having a healthy breakfast at the hotel and move on for a sightseeing tour of the pink city. Amber Fort , City Palace and Museum , Jantar Mantar Observatory , Hawa Mahal , Birla Temple , Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort are places worth visiting during the Cultural Experience Tour. Return to the hotel for overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 08: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
After having a breakfast head for Agra, which is only a 4 ½ hour drive from Jaipur. Agra. Do visit the ruined fort city of Fatehpur Sikri while you are on your way to Agra. Places like the Royal Palace , Panch Mahal , Jami Masjid and Buland Darwaza are worth visiting in Fatehpur Sikri.
On arrival in Agra, check in at the hotel and relax for the day. Go and visit the ancient markets of Agra in the evening. It's needless to say that you must visit the beautiful Taj Mahal in Agra. Besides the Taj, places like Akbar's Tomb , Agra Fort and Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb are worth visiting during the Classical Tour of North India.
Day 09: Agra - Khajuraho
Begin the 9 th day of your Cultural Experience Tour by boarding a flight to Khajuraho , the city of enchanting temples and sculptures. On arrival, check in at the hotel and rest a while. At afternoon visit the Khajuraho Temples, known for their sensuous sculptures. Rare and exquisite, these carvings and sculptures won't fail to enchant you.
Day 10: Khajuraho - Varanasi
Post breakfast at the hotel, go and explore the town and in the afternoon board the flight to Varanasi. Founded by Lord Shiva, Varanasi, "the City of Light" is one of the most sacred Hindu cities. Check in at the hotel, rest for a while and then head for a tour to Sarnath , known as the Buddhist center of art and learning. Watch out for Dhamek Stupa , Ashoka Pillar , Archaeological Museum and the Main Shrine at Sarnath.
Day 11: Varanasi - Delhi
Have a holy start of the last day of your Cultural Experience Tour with a boat ride on the holy River Ganges . Don't miss out a bath and devoting prayers at the Ganges. Post breakfast, pay visits to the holy temples like Kashi Vishwanath . Go for shopping spree and try buying silk brocades and sarees. Board the flight back to Delhi at afternoon. On arrival, board the flight back home or for your onward journey.
