ITINERARY:
Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Arrive at the Delhi airport, where our representative will be waiting to escort you to the hotel. Your tiredness will fly in seconds by the traditional welcome that you will be getting at the hotel's reception. Check in and relax amidst the world-class hotel facilities.
Day 02: Delhi
Go for a sightseeing tour with our guide in Delhi. Explore the National Museum that houses treasures symbolic of the rich Indian culture and history belonging to the era when India was ruled by the British. Do visit the Safdarjung Tomb and afterwards go to dine at the famous Dum Pukht Restaurant in Mauraya Sheraton Hotel. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi
Post a healthy breakfast at the hotel head for a guided tour of the magical city of Old Delhi. Let the ancient monuments like the Jama Masjid , India's largest mosque, Raj Ghat , memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, Qutub Minar and India Gate enchant you during your Kanchenzonga Trail. Humayun's Tomb , Parliament House and the Presidential Palace are some other places of interest that are worth visiting during the Spectrum of Indian Art Tour.
Day 04: Delhi
Post breakfast head for a city tour and visit the historical sites like the Red Fort, a magnificent monument built of red sandstone. Do try buying stuff from the Chandni Chowk, Dilli Haat, Karol Bagh and Lajpat Nagar. Return to theh otel for an overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 05: Delhi - Sikandra - Agra
Start the 5 th day with a 4-hours drive to Agra enroute Sikandra , where you can visit the famous Mausoleum of the Mughal Emperor Akbar . Let the architecture of the Mausoleum enchant you. Then proceed for Agra and check in to your hotel on arrival.
Visit the Agra Fort in the afternoon. Diwan-I-Am and the other royal palaces and royal pavilions are worth visiting in the Agra Fort. Watching the wonderful Taj Mahal at sunset is truly a breathtaking site. So, don't miss out this great opportunity to watch this architectural wonder.
Day 06: Agra
Post breakfast proceed for a visit to the Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary at Bharatpur, at a distance of about 60 km from Agra. On arrival in Agra, check in at the Hotel Laxmi Vilas Palace and relax for the day. Go and visit the ancient markets of Agra in the evening. It's needless to say that you must visit the beautiful Taj Mahal in Agra. Besides the Taj, places like Akbar's Tomb , Agra Fort and Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb are worth visiting during the Classical Tour of North India.
Day 07: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur
Begin the 7 th day of Spectrum of Indian Art Tour with a 5-hour drive to Jaipur enroute Fatehpur Sikri , the ancient city built by the great Moghul Emperor Akbar. Places like the Royal Palace , Panch Mahal , Jami Masjid and Buland Darwaza are worth visiting in Fatehpur Sikri. On arrival in Jaipur, check in to your hotel and rest for a while. Later go on a stroll in the market and watch the precious gems in some jewellery showrooms. Walk through the vibrant bazaars and try buying stuffs like carpets, mirror works, textiles and silver jewellery.
Day 08: Jaipur
Having a healthy breakfast at the hotel and move on for a sightseeing tour of the pink city. Amber Fort , City Palace and Museum , Jantar Mantar Observatory , Hawa Mahal , Birla Temple , Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort are places worth visiting during the Spectrum of Indian Art Tour. Return to the hotel for overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 09: Jaipur - Jodhpur
Having a sumptuous breakfast, choose to visit either the Nahargarh Fort or the Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur. Later in the afternoon, drive back to the railway station and board the train to Jodhpur. Arrive at Jodhpur, where our representative will be waiting to escort you to the hotel. Check in at the hotel and have an overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 10: Jodhpur
Having a sumptuous breakfast, move on to visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort with all its beauty and splendor. Visit the white marble Royal Cenotaphs at the Jaswant Thada . Have an interaction with the local people at the village of Luni and watch the local craftsmen and weavers.
Have lunch in the afternoon and then head for a Jeep Safari to the Bishnoi Tribal Villages near Jodhpur. Then have an interaction with the local people by visiting the Potter and Weaver Villages. Visit the Rohetgarh Fort and participate in a traditional ' Opium Ceremony'. Enjoy folk dances and music performances in Jodhpur. Later board the flight back home or to your onward journey.
