ITINERARY:
Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Arrive at the Delhi airport, where our representative will be waiting to escort you to the hotel. Your tiredness will fly in seconds by the traditional welcome that you will be getting at the hotel's reception. Check in and relax amidst the world-class hotel facilities.
Day 02: Delhi – Chandigarh
Post breakfast head for a 5-hour drive to Chandigarh on the Grand Trunk Road. Enroute watch lush green fields and rivers of Punjab along with the historical battlefield of Kurukshetra. Arrive in Chandigarh and check in at the hotel. Famous for the Rock Garden , Chandigarh is one of the cleanest cities of India that was built in 1952. Go for a sightseeing tour that include visit to the Pinjore Gardens .
Day 03: Chandigarh – Shimla
Begin the 3 rd day of your On Top of the World – Jeep Safari in Lahaul Spiti Tour with a 4-hour drive to Shimla. On arrival, check in at the hotel. One of the most popular hill stations in India, Shimla was once the summer capital of the British Raj. After relaxing a while at the hotel go for a sightseeing tour that include visits to the State Museum and a stroll down the Mall . Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Shimla.
Day 04: Shimla – Sarahan
Head to Narkhanda in the morning to watch spectacular views of the Himalayas and deodar forests along the serene Sutlej River at Rampur. Then move on a journey to Sarahan, which is famous for Bhima Kali Temple . Built in a magnificent Hindu and Buddhist architectural style, this temple was once associated with human sacrifice. Check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 05: Sarahan – Sangla
Having a healthy breakfast go on a 4-hour drive to the village of Sangla that is situated in the Baspa Valley in Kinnaur. Houses built along the slopes are no doubt worth watching. Do visit places like the Temple and the Buddhist Monastery and immerse yourself in the Shangri-la-like feeling. Return to the tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 06: Sangla – Kalpa
Start the 6 th day of On Top if the World – Jeep Safari in Lahaul Spiti with a 2-hour drive through the Chirkoot Pass. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Sutlej River and the towns adjacent to it. You will also be moved by the panoramic views of the magnificent Kinner-Kailash mountain, which is said to be the abode of Lord Shiva. Return at the Tourist Bungalow for an overnight stay.
Day 07: Kalpa – Tabo
Post breakfast head for a journey along River Sutlej and Spiti River enroute Yangthang and Samdho passing through an ancient Tibetan trade route. Visit Samdho, a town situated at the confluence of two rivers. Let the beautiful scenery of the town and its surroundings enchant you. Return to the tented camps for an overnight stay in Tabo.
Day 08: Tabo
Go for a sightseeing tour of Tabo and visit the various monasteries containing Buddhist art treasures. Come appreciate the murals and stucco art in the 9 temples that are beautifully sculpted. There are also some caves to be seen at Tabo.
Day 09: Tabo – Dhankar – Lalung – Kaza
Go on a drive to Dhankar, the traditional capital of Spiti and have fun exploring an old monastery. The monastery is said to be the home to Vairochamma statue that is worth watching. Then go for a short walk up the mountainside leading to the Mountain Lake . Later go for a 5-hour journey to Kaza via Lalung. You will pass through world-famous side valley of Lingti while on your way to Lalung. Arrive in Kazu and then check in at the hotel.
Day 10: Kaza
Move on a drive to Kibber Village situated at a height of 4205m. Immerse yourself in the spectacular views of rugged mountains. Visit the Geti Village.
Day 11: Kaza – Kunzum La – Chatru
Commence an 8-hour drive to Chatru and rest assure to watch out for some spectacular views on your way. Let yourself be enchanted with snow-caped peaks as you approach Kunzum La. Arrive at Chatru for an overnight stay in a tented camp.
Day 12: Chatru – Rohtang Pass – Manali
Go for an 8-hour drive towards Lahaul Valley watching beautiful glaciers and mountain terrains on way. Head for the Rohtang Pass and watch hanging glaciers and snowfields on way. Vegetation is worth watching as you enter the Kullu Valley . Arrive in Manali and check in at the hotel.
Day 13: Manali
Post breakfast, head for a drive to ancient capital of Kullu Valley called the town of Naggar. Its sheer delight to watch this place that has served as a palace and a colonial mansion for many years. Go for a sightseeing tour in Manali and later return to the hotel.
Day 14: Manali – Kulu – Delhi
Head for a 60 m drive to Buntar Airport in the vicinity to Kullu and board the flight to Delhi. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Go for a half day sightseeing tour in the afternoon. Let the ancient monuments like the Jama Masjid , India's largest mosque, Raj Ghat , memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, Qutub Minar and India Gate enchant you during your tour. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 15: Delhi
Visit monuments like Red Fort and also do some shopping from Dilli Haat and Karol Bagh . Later drive back to the International Airport and board the flight back home or for your further destination.
