Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai
Mumbai - Udaipur
On arrival you will be welcomed with garlands. Thereafter you drive to your hotel. After your welcome drink, check in at the express check in counter especially arranged for the group.
An early lunch at the hotel is followed by a sightseeing tour of the city of Mumbai. See the well-known Gateway to India, the remarkable Hanging Gardens built in 1881,the Dhobi Ghat, Victoria Terminus, a busy train station built 1887, Marine Drive, Mumbai's seaside walkway and the Prince of Wales Museum, a unique Raj-era building housing exquisite paintings and sculptures.
In the late afternoon we drive you to the Domestic airport to fly to Udaipur, the idealistic, thrilling, enchanted city of princes and princesses, palaces and lakes.
On arrival, we welcome and transfer you to your hotel. We then escort you to the rooms .
We now transport you into a delightful experience by the beautiful Lily Pond at the Lake Palace, one of the most romantic places ever, where, under the stars and with the twinkling lights of the city in the distance, you can enjoy a performance of Indian classical music and folk dances. This is followed by a luxurious dinner of the finest Indian delicacies and desserts.
Day 02 : Udaipur
we proceed to Shikarbadi for breakfast and a Horse Polo Match.
Shikarbadi, a hunting lodge of the Mewar Royal family for centuries, is a peaceful and tranquil place set in lush green countryside. The main building, constructed in the 1930s, served as the royal residence until 1980.
The Horse Polo ground is set in the backdrop of the charming Aravali hills and the Goverdhan Vilas Lake and forms an interesting setting to watch the three-a-side Polo match. Horses playing the match have been reared in these very surroundings and are the best Polo ponies in the country today, as Shikarbadi boasts of one of the country's finest stud farms, probably the only one that produces Polo ponies.
After the match, enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the lawns overlooking the jungle where local animals roam and birds flutter in and out of the trees.
Later in the morning, tour the romantic, city of Udaipur .See the City Palace with its beautiful mosaics, mirror-work and fine gardens, visit Sahalion ki Bari, the charming garden for the maidens of the Court with its lotus pool and fountains, and see the Jagat Temple, constructed in the Indo-Aryan style and dedicated to Vishnu, the Lord of the Universe.
After lunch at the Fateh Prakash Palace, you visit the private Crystal Art Gallery of the Maharana of Udaipur to view his collection of unique and fine pieces of crystal that include unusual items such as beds and couches.
At dusk we delight you in true Maharaja style in an evening of exotica topping in a celebration dinner at the charming Jagmandir Island in Lake Pichola.
The demonstration starts at the hotel, where girls in traditional attire shower rose petals and sprinkle scent in your path to the complement of traditional musicians. Men in splendid turbans holding mashaals line the path leading to the pier where you board the boat for Jagmandir islands.
In the background the island palace built in 1622, with its magnificent domes, pillars and fountains stands tall against the sunset as the view of the palaces on the shoreline provides one the most memorable images of Rajput splendor.
The island looks delightful with its detailed floral arrangements and the torches, lanterns and candles that have been lit for your welcome. A village setting greets you in the courtyard where a Snake Charmer lures a cobra to dance, a Mehndiwala paints your hands and feet in intricate traditional patterns, a Blacksmith displays his skills, a Fortune Teller predicts your future, A Potter displays his wares and Shops sell colorful glass bangles and costume jewelry and the famous Rajasthani miniature paintings are on sale.
You are escorted to the Baradari and invited to relax on the traditional seats. Drinks and Cocktails are served to the addition of live music on the Sitar or Sarangi. Thereafter you are invited to enjoy the splendid buffet-dinner that includes a wide variety of Indian, Rajasthani and Continentals dishes. For your entertainment, a dance recital numbering the different forms of Indian dance is carried on during dinner.
Day 03 : Udaipur - Jaipur
After breakfast, we drive you to the airport to fly to Jaipur, the beautiful pink city. On arrival we take you to your hotel where a welcome drink is served and an express check in counter has been arranged for the group.
In the afternoon, see the superb City Palace of the Maharaja of Jaipur, the Hawa Mahal, an eye-catching example of Rajput artistry and the Jantar Mantar, the incredibly accurate Royal Observatory built in 1728.
In the evening we invite you to a celebration Dinner at the gardens of the Jai Mahal Palace Hotel. Trumpeters and richly decorated horses and camels in traditional regalia wait as you enter, showered by rose petals, into the majestic mughal gardens. As you sit down to a regal dinner, customary Jaipur dancers and other entertainers cheer up the evening.
Day 04 : Jaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, we take you to the Amber Fort atop an elephant in true Maharaja style. This ancient and grand palace, with its stunning Sheesh Mahal is a superb example of Rajput architecture.
We drive on to the Samode Palace for a Durbar evening. On arrival at this small village, you will see torch- bearers and a medieval camel caravan, to the addition of musicians, with the enlightened medieval palace.
Enjoy the delicacies at dinner to the addition of folk dances and sitar music in the setting of the exquisite ancient wall paintings in the stunning Sheesh mahal. To end the festive evening we invite you to a fabulous fireworks display over the neighboring hill.
Day 05 : Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
we begin the 6 hour drive to Agra via Fatehpur-Sikri ,the ancient city built in a synthesis of Hindu and Muslim artistic styles by the great Moghul Emperor Akbar .See the magnificent Royal Palace with its famous Panch Mahal, the five-storied palace and the grand Jami Masjid with its impressive Buland Darwaza.
On arrival in Agra we take you to your hotel, where after a welcome drink you can check in.
At sunset, we ride on garlanded tongas to see the splendor of the Taj Mahal, one of the world's most wonderful constructions.
The eternal monument of the Taj Mahal is stunningly constructed in gleaming white marble. Its fine and delicate carvings highlighted by floral patterns adorned with precious stones are extraordinary. It took some 20000 workers 21 years to build this incredible marble tomb.
This evening we take you to an exclusive Mughal Theme dinner, delighting you to the exotic world of the great Mughals. The evening begins with veiled women clad in silken, flowing skirts, who welcome you with flowers and perfume in the traditional style.
colorful folk dances delight while you enjoy the luxurious spread of Mughlai delicacies served in a manner be apt royalty. Later enjoy the classical Awadhi dance performance and the classical flute and sitar recital.
Day 06: Agra - Delhi
we visit the Taj Mahal on cycle rickshaw, and see it this time at its most appealing, in the quiet of the early morning, masked in mists and bathed in a red glow.
After breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Agra Fort, the majestic fortress built by Emperor Akbar and the seat and stronghold of the Mughal Empire for generations.
Its massive gates lead to the elegant Diwan-I-Am with its elaborate architecture, and to the ornamental royal palaces and royal pavilions built to catch the cool river breeze.
On arrival, check in to your hotel where a traditional welcome.
In the evening we dine at the hotel.
Day 07: Delhi Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, we take you on a tour of the delightful city of Old Delhi. Visit the Raj Ghat and see the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, the Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque and architectural variety dating to 1658, the Red Fort a magnificent structure of red sandstone built at the peak of the Mogul empire, and the fabled shopping bazaar, Chandni Chowk.
Lunch will be at the Chor Bizarre restaurant where you can try the scrumptious Kashmiri cuisine.
In the afternoon tour of the modern city of New Delhi see the Qutub Minar, a superb example of early Afghan architecture circa 1199, the Emperor Humayun's Tomb, the architectural originator to the Taj Mahal in Agra, the Houses of Parliament and the Presidential Palace, both extravagant masterpieces of the British Raj.
In the evening we invite you to the Bukhara restaurant at The Maurya Sheraton for farewell. This internationally renowned restaurant serves one of the best Northwestern cuisines in India.
After dinner, we drive you to the International airport to fly to your respective destination.
