Corbett National Park Jim Corbett National Park, situated in the Indian state of Uttaranchal, is the home to a variety of flora and fauna and wild population of Tigers, leopards and elephants. Corbett National Park has 110 tree species, 50 mammal species, 580 bird species and 25 reptile species.

The main attractions of Corbett National Park

The National Park is famous for its resident tigers. Other commonly seen wildlife at Corbett National Park include spotted deer, wild boars, sambhar, barking deer, rhesus macaques, langur monkeys, peacocks, and herds of wild elephants. An elephant safari is the best option for tourists to move into the wilderness of the Corbett National Park. Leopards are also widely seen in the hills of the Park. Also seen are the nocturnal cats like leopard cat, jungle cat, and fishing cat. Small animal like Himalayan palm civet, Indian gray mongoose, common otter, blacknaped hare and porcupine are also found in the Corbett Park.

Corbett National Park is also a paradise for bird watchers. There are as many as 580 different species of birds at Corbett National Park.

How to reach Corbett National Park:

Corbett National Park is situated in Uttaranchal and is easily reachable from most part of the country. The National Park is at a distance of 290 km from Delhi. The nearest railway station to Corbett is Ramnagar, which is connected to Delhi through overnight trains. From Ramnagar, one can hire taxis or jeep to reach the Park.
